The short version
We never collect names, email addresses, word lists or anything else that identifies a teacher, a student or a device. There are no accounts, no cookies and no advertising.
Your word lists
A practice list lives entirely inside its link, in the part after the #.
Browsers never send that part to any server, so the list name and words stay between you and
whoever you share the link with.
Practice history
The practice log is saved only in the browser on the student's own device. It is never uploaded. Clearing the browser's site data deletes it.
Anonymous usage counts
To learn what's useful, the site adds 1 to daily totals when certain things happen. Nothing else is recorded:
- A list is shared (copied, opened or printed), with its settings: target sounds, word positions, grade level and list size. Never the list name or words.
- Practice is started (with the list size in ranges such as "11–20") or finished (with roughly how many times that device has finished the list, in ranges such as "3–5").
- "Hear it", the printable sheet or the practice log is used, or read-aloud isn't available.
These totals are stored without IP addresses, cookies, device identifiers or browser details, so they can't be traced back to anyone. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, nothing is counted at all.
Our host, Cloudflare, also keeps standard cookieless traffic statistics (such as page views and country) and short-lived security logs, which we don't use to identify anyone.
